As the amount of time I have to train has been reduced I’ve found that I no longer do the little things—pre- and post-run particularly.
Anybody have suggestions for a 3 minute routine before the run to get the body ready to roll. Right now I lace ‘em up and go. Hips tend to be the thing that trouble me the most, had a hip flexor pull back in the day. If it’s longer than 3 minutes I know I won’t do it.
Jay Johnson's lunge matrix. Look it up. It's 3 minutes, and it's worked great for me as a pre-run routine.
I do something similar to the lunge matrix, but I've asded some other drills and I am up to about 10 minutes. Started doing them about two uears ago and the routine seems to be paying dividends.
