For those who have not heard of John O'Malley, he is the coach at Sandburg High School who had the winner at
the Footlocker Nationals.
Ben Rosario has a podcast episode with him which might be worth a listen
He's had teams run sub 7:46 four years in a row, and I think sub 7:48 six years in a row.
He is speaking twice at the Boulder Running Clinics HS Clinic next month. Topics are "Building Powerful Runners: Individualization and Purpose in Training" and "Building Powerful 800 and 4 x 800 Meter Runners."

That is from his full length excerpt from his interview with HSRC.
Had not heard "Our feet move fast everyday" before reading his training and interviewing him.
He shared a 7-page document with HSRC. Here are the seven points.
Training Principles Overview:
1. Everything is present. Always.
2. We don’t count miles. We measure stress.
3. Progression—know the REAL demands of the goal.
4. Our feet move fast every day.
5. We don’t stretch statically. We prime our bodies.
6. Individualize—psychobiological approach
7. We systematically teach toughness, character and leadership
