I have big aspirations for my senior track season. I've run 4:19 for the 1600 last season as a junior. For my senior year, my goal is 4:10. It's a big jump, but what kind of training will make it possible?
I'm thinking a few months of 70-75 a week base. I did this over the summer and improved from 16:30 5k to 15:30 5k.
What kind of workouts should I be hitting mid-end season for that to be possible?
10x400@ 60sec rest at 60-62 seconds?
16x400@ 60 sec rest at 65-66?
What other things would I be forgetting?
