I mean, do I need to be using my fingers for something when running?

Why do they make mittens? My thumb always gets cold.
Why do humans come with fingers? Stumps are warmer and simpler to make.

I couldn’t give you the finger like I am right now, though.
been asking this question for years. asics and brooks used to make them. they had mitten 'jackets' that were windbreaks for cool but not cold temps. they also had running mitts for really cold temps. now they all make the convertible ones that are gloves with a cover. that totally defeats the purpose of mittens. OR still makes some good ones. hopeful they stay smart.
Fingers are like condoms.
You'd rather have 10 and not need them, than need 10 and not have them.
Um, ever heard of socks? One pair if it is cold. Two pair if it is really cold. You can also use them on your feet.
Depends on the temperature. Sometimes mitts can be too warm.
Can't you afford both?
Because people keep buying them.
This is how markets work.
Mittens are warmer.
People are not the rational beings we like to describe ourselves as.
People consider mittens are for children. That's why.
Because temperatures exist where you want some hand covering but not the warmest possible covering.
You've really made it your mission in life to disprove the theory that "there's no such thing as a dumb question." While that isn't a particular research interest of my own, I do appreciate your apparent passion and commitment.

+1
It’s easier to use your gps watch with gloves than it is with mittens.
I forgive you.
Have you ever punched someone in the face with mittens on? No. That is the point.
I've started running with my arms folded in a sleeveless jacket. Problem solved.
Don't you think the Mobot looks kinda ridiculous with mittens?
