1) Thanks for starting the 43rd such thread in LRC history.
Hey, I know: Let's start a climate-change or abortion thread, too--that would be novel!
2) If you vote--and hence ratify a flawed process--YOU'RE the one who doesn't get to complain. ;-)
Oh, except for that pesky First Amendment thingy, which seems to suggest you get to complain, regardless.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Jnf9GILjFMI've been hoping for years that this would eventually happen. Haile Gebrselassie and Paul Tergat even petitioned the IOC about this years ago.
Unfortunately, I tried to sign you petition, but it says it is now closed (after only 11 signatures).
I dont think that is the type of sport they want to promote in the Winter Games. Whether is should be included isn't even relevant. The Winter Games get folks hyped about different types of equipment, and going to ski resorts, ice rinks etc.. They're selling a lifestyle, not really sports competition.
I would be far more inclined to sign this if it was started by somebody who wasn't a constant jerk on these boards. Thejeff is just mean to people here.
That petition is a year old and already delivered to the IOC with eleven signatures. You really are dumb.
