runnin_dresselThink about this... Mark Wetmore, Heather Burroughs, and Billy Nelson used their time, energy, and attention to make you the best runner that you possibly can be in the 1.5 years that you’ve been enrolled at Boulder. Because of their knowledge, expertise, and guidance, you were able to significantly improve your aerobic fitness, speed, and endurance from high school to college. They provided you the opportunity to run at a program with decades worth of history and accomplishments. NCAA All-Americans, conference titles, national titles, national champions, Olympians, World Champions, World medalists, and Olympic Medalists, have all been guided by two of the most qualified and humble coaches. For 1.5 years, you trained with a talented group of runners who are NOT racist, who are hardworking, dedicated, and goal oriented. Day in and day out we push each other, we admire and respect one another, and we are thankful for the opportunity we have to run at the University of Colorado Boulder. (1/2)
runnin_dresselMark and Heather are focused on what is in the best interest of our program, and that is to help each one of us be the most successful that we can possibly be athletically and characteristically. Each one of us is held to a high standard because of what is expect out of us, and we are held accountable for our own actions. You had an opportunity to get a 4-year degree at a great university, but just a few weeks ago you decided that it was in your best interest to quit the program and enroll at Mt. SAC Community College. Since then, you’ve taken advantage of our athletic facilities and the services that are only provided to student-athletes at Boulder (massage, meals provided by Pasta J’s). Out of ignorance and immaturity you resorted to social media to stigmatize the entirety of the CU program, your former teammates, and coaches. Don’t disparage something that once gave you endless opportunities to better yourself individually. (2/2)
