Consent can be withdrawn at any time, so a signature is meaningless. She could say "yes, I signed that form at 6:34pm, but I then withdrew consent at 6:35pm before we had sex at 6:36pm" and the form becomes irrelevant.

Of course, in your haste to put me in my place, you conveniently overlooked that I wrote "...and then instructed them to be respectful, kind and mindful of the word NO..." in my post.

Even if you disagree with my method of hyperbole, you have to admit that few (if any) of the alleged offenders accused in the #MeToo tsunami got the benefit of due process before being penalized. I mean, seriously, the great American humorist (and harmless old curmudgeon) Garrison Keillor has had his entire literary, entertainment and meager merchandising legacy destroyed for putting his hand on a woman's back as a kind gesture of consolation.

If the punishments aren't going to fit the so-called crimes, then men need to be prepared to protect themselves against misrepresentations and outright lies. That sentiment is neither misogynistic nor insensitive; it is merely a statement of fact that not ALL the accusations are legitimate or accurate.

None of these men were/are likely to be found guilty in a criminal court, especially after the Crosby precedent that's been set although the evidence there was a bit different. These people are dying in the so-called "court of public opinion", which can turn on anyone for any reason at all. I believe the way to avoid a "conviction" in this "court" is to try not to be an idiot and generally respectful towards all.

I agree. Unfortunately, what constitutes "idiotic" behavior has proven to be very subjective and, in a few cases, blatantly misrepresented.
