ok lets run I need your expert opinions, I'm a frosh d1 runner at power 5conference school, ran 30 mpw in hs and was 9:10,4:11 I red shirted cross and been running 45-8 mpw, actually been getting fit, ran 12 by 400 @63 avg w 1 min and 8 x 600 a 1:35 avg with 1:30 rest, but past two week coach wants me to raise mileage because he sees potential in longer races (5k) for outdoors and I am dieing like my legs have no pop cause of added mileage and I'm dead, do u think I should put my head down and keep working or is something up, is it better to run 55 a week and be tired right now or run 46 and crush every run and workout? thanks for the help I guess this is a mileage or quality question, first race is middle of January
