So Vanhoy to Texas you say???? Sure Head coach is throwing around money up here in De Moines but what if Vanhoy said Oregon is the place for me and he loaded up his buggy and stopped in Eugene. Plus the Texas men are really good, possibly better than Oregon Men?
Please... The guy is a baby and has very little experience. Plus - no way no how is a throwing coach getting head job like ND! Back to reality

Is it smart HR or drama worrisome to take a boyfriend/girlfriend combo? How much juice does Vanhoy have to be leveraging a Texas position with an unproven girlfriends resume?
Universities hire spouses/significant others all the time when making senior faculty hires.
And unproven? She's been a XC head coach at a Power 5 school for two years.

saw a thread earlier saying that Texas had offered Vanhoy and Chewens. Oregon also wants Vanhoy but had not offered Chewens. They're an item so trying to get a job at the same place. The thread was on the homepage but when I went to click it had been deleted. Not sure why, but the OP seemed credible. Said he heard the info from a friend who works in the texas track office.
Why so quiet on the Kentucky search. Pretty major job you would expect them to try and go after some big names.
Curcio isn’t the Head Coach. Read the article.

I'm not sure why that thread was deleted, either. Based on my knowledge of the situation, that OP was absolutely spot-on.

My apologies for the EGREGIOUS error. I think it would be more worthwhile to copy, edit, and paste the new list instead of jumping at my throat. Seems I'm the only one who cares to keep that list up to date...

Here's the solution. Vanhoy takes the Oregon position, Chewens goes for and lands the Pacific position in Forest Grove. Sure it's DIII for her, but lets be honest, that's more in line with Wake Forest these days anyway. She has experience recruiting to a 60 thou a year school, and if she could get athletes to run that fast at a place like Pacific she would dominate. They could even live somewhere in the middle like the little college town of Monmouth. They would both have an equal 50 minute commute and could be together! Boom! You are welcome, young couple!
You know that girl ain’t gonna do that! She prolly feels she’s arrived, so she would probably rather be a volunteer assistant at Oregon than get paid to coach DIII.. beneath her
LOLz. His coaching career is in the rear view mirror.
