VanHoy to UNC. Finally!!
Could there be something going on at North Carolina? I have been hearing there might be a change for months. I know the head coach is really well liked. Retiring maybe?
Why is it that every year, the same names come up for candidates for coaching jobs:
Mike Curcio and the Garys (we haven't heard about another job favorite Brad Hunt in awhile)
Add Vig and VanHoy to that list. With all of the openings this year, some big names COULD be on the move happen and new guys may get chances.
Where it began, I can't begin to knowing
But then I know it's growing strong
Was in the spring
Then spring became the summer
Who'd have believed you'd come along
Hands, touching hands
Reaching out, touching me, touching you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I'd be inclined
To believe they never would
But now I
Look at the night and it don't seem so lonely
We filled it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurting runs off my shoulders
How can I hurt when I'm holding you
One, touching one
Reaching out, touching me, touching you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I'd be inclined
To believe they never would
Oh no, no
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
Sweet Caroline
I believe they never could

It’s time for the new guys to get a chance. Seems to not be as many up and coming college coaches as in years past. I think these bad situations that brew up at these schools from coaches like Metcalf to Smith is because their name becomes bigger than their success. Coaches are getting better at what they do take magness for example, he would put Metcalf to shame in a heartbeat. Theirs a lot more Magness types that just need the opportunity. Hope those guys get a chance.
Hawaii and James Madison throws coaches open
Hawaii open again?! That's like 6 coaches in 9 years
Hillsdale College in Michigan going to have some openings.

Anyone know the scoop on the St. Olaf women's head coach position? Is the head track coach in the running for the job or do they want track/xc separate? Have they started on-site interviews yet?
Closed, hired alum Erica Maker.
this is just not true...what you heard does not make it true, a black coach hired him...you saying the black coach is stupid?

So Notre Dame is officially open.
Where's the person who said "Milt to Notre Dame"? (Chris Miltenberg of Stanford)
I find it hard to believe that Milt would leave Stanford where he gets to cherry pick the nation's best recruits.
Notre Dame should have that kind of recruiting ability but, until this year, their Men's recruiting has been poor.
The only reasons would be if he thinks ND's spiritual mission is important and/or cost of living. You can buy a lot of house in South Bend compared to Palo Alto.
So I am not going through all of the past 48 pages. I will update it when I see something. Only legit openings will be posted...
I have not seen anything on UNC, Hawaii officially yet.

And he gets some admission assistance at Stanford. At Notre Dame he would get zero. But word on the street is he misses the east & those kind of kids & a faith based setting...
