And that would rank them among the most boring programs in the NCAA... just like Colorado University. They can't even win the Pac 12 in Cross Country.

Good for Coach McDaniel!
Does anyone know what Ottawa's National affiliation would be beyond the NCCAA? I see that their Kansas campus in an NAIA member. Will the Arizona campus do that as well? Just curious. In either event, it looks like a great opportunity in what should become a really nice destination for student athletes.
They will be NAIA. They will start playing NAIA football in the fall.
Indeed...it seems like they don't do much except produce Olympians. What a bore!
I see Luther is open. Will they just promote from within?
anyone going to retire after this year?
Boise State grad assistant position.
I'm assuming Luther will look for a coach that can recruit...that program could be darn good. I've heard rumblings that there could be even more coaching changes in the Iowa Conference. Should be an interesting off-season.

What is the true story behind this position? Is it open for all or did they create a position for an alum?
Yea... you're right, after they leave CU and go to a coach who knows how to train athletes.
Yet, most eventually return to the nest.

Conference Carolinas
Is Dunham going to Luther or are they just splitting the programs? What about the Fullers?
Here is my list of P5 schools with HCs that need to retire or get canned as their program is a shadow of their former selves.
ACC:
Florida State
North Carolina
Duke
Big 10:
Wisconsin
Nebraska
Minnesota
Big 12;
OSU
TCU
Baylor
PAC 12:
Arizona
ASU
California
Oregon
SEC:
Auburn
South Carolina
Texas A&M
Texas A&M; really?!
They won the national title on the men's and women's side in 2014; they won the men's indoor title in 2017, finished second outdoors. They are always in the hunt for the NCAAs.
Oregon; really?
They won the triple crown only last year. Their relay teams have or challenge the WL year in and year out.
Both schools produce world-class and national-level athletes. Is there something more a Head Coach needs to do - I am not trying to be difficult. I really want to know so that I know what to look for when comparing or discussing programs.
Letsrun standards are vastly higher than any ADs.
I appreciate the fast response; I thought I was missing something.
