It’s college coaching. Head coaches hire pretty females with no experience that can’t coach themselves out of a brown paper bag to save their lives. You wanna crusade against something, then crusade against that first, it is certainly happening more than this guys situation.
Depends on if their single or not and if its a female head coach. Married men usually hire the least attractive to keep peace in the household. Female head coaches NEVER hire the pretty female coach. Who knows why. Otherwise it pays to be hot. Such is life
Just take out the word “pretty” and it makes the statement 100% true.
It’s not a crusade. Nice try trying to continually change the subject. If you cheated and are awarded the job based on false info, you should be fired (never hired). I know people who applied with much more integrity, who didn’t lie and had a better resume (or would have had a better resume if not for the lies in this bio).
Additionally, the three top Ass’t Coaches at UALR would have a better resume if Behnke didn’t lie. I’m sure they will be happy to have the new honest leadership.
What are Wetmores accolades in events under the mile? How about field events. Are you aware there are more events than the 5K and the steeple chase...

Jesus Christ let it go you giant babies. It's not like this is freaking Oregon or anything. Life isn't fair, go get a Kleenex.
Does anyone have any updates on the UNLV position? I'm interested to see what sort of candidates apply.

Not sure about UNLV. I do know a lot of young snot nose kids have been getting hired in positions they have no business getting. Hopefully they don’t fall for the same trap!
Coaching is not difficult. A loaded resume doesn’t make you a perfect fit for every staff or athletics department. Get over it.

This is true. And that is why they’re winners and losers. Teams that get better; teams that get worse; teams that stay the same. You kiss the right booty and you don’t have to worry about results or resumes. In the business sector we are about results kissing butt does nothing
I guarantee there are athletic departments that prefer unsuccessful track programs. Even moderate success costs more money. More football or basketball spending money means a lot more than a few kids going to NCAA first round each year. Why hire a hard driving “good” coach? Hire the shlub who stays out of the way and is content. Don’t assume every school wants to win.

This may be true, but what applicant goes into a job interview saying “ hey I just want a job I’ll stay out the way and make sure we never improve”

Yeah guys, c'mon! If it's good enough for #45 it works for JP Behnke. Get with the times. #disinformationAge

I only want a women coach to respond to this post. Did you get a position knowing you didn’t have the same experience as your male competitors? And why are women getting hired so easily. I honestly want to know

Listen man it’s been said on here. It’s one of those things that just exist theirs no explaining it. And certainly a women will not come on here and it explain it for you, of course they know what their getting by with it’s not their fight. Everyone is out to get theirs and screw everyone else so the sooner you get that understood and have that mindset the better off you’ll be. Good luck

So you don’t know anything, clearly.

Smhjjak with your insider information, do you know when UNC will be announcing Mr. Lockhart.

I am a female coach and there have been times that I was afraid I got positions because of my gender and because that is the go to on here. The first time I was hired in one of those roles I do think it had something to do with it but I also knew someone that knew the right person. I spent my whole first year and probably the duration of my time there trying to prove I deserved the chance I got. It is kind of sad really because it probably would have much more enjoyable if I didn’t feel like everyone was waiting for me to fail. Nonetheless, I had success and moved on to a better position. Once again it was assumed I got the job because I was a female. I spent about a month concerned about what other people thought and then said F it. I wouldn’t be here if I just tried to play the femal card. Maybe once upon a time I got a position over someone more qualified but at the end of the day I worked my a** off to prove I deserved it. It happens in all professions and not just to women. Men get jobs all the time over qualified women because people stereotype women. What ever position you get work your a** off to keep moving up and if you don’t get one reevaluate what you are doing. If people are concerned about things being fair I feel bad for them, they are obviously Sheltered. Life is not fair, make the most of every opportunity you get or pay the price. If you are not getting opportunities than you are doing something wrong. Look inside yourself instead of blaming other people.
Amen
My coach use to say this growing up, “No one cares about your problems. You ain’t that special.” This applies to you. It is also significantly easier to get a job as a female for coaching. Mainly because not many females pursue collegiate coaching and they have to meet their quota for hiring different backgrounds. Alas, most of the female coaches make the best coaches, as they where not the typical mold for a coach.
Ladies, you should love that it’s easier. Use that to your adavtange. Don’t hate the playa, hate the game.
BOOM! Love this.
