Does UVA have a women’s coach yet?? How does no one want to work with Fetzer?!?!?
Lots of people care especially because another opportunity is being given to a female with no experience despite the fact that there are more qualified males available. Men are having to volunteer for years and some chick can walk into the profession and make $40K/year without any resume.

I wonder if these men head coaches have their hands tied and have no choice but to hire a female(administration), if that’s the case then I can respect them. But when it’s just to have a women that won’t challenge you because they don’t know squat... well that Is just a coward move. I believe in karma and that usually comes back around in the form of not meeting their expectations and team not performing as well, you get what you ask for. A lot of head coaches are insecure and think someone is trying to take their job which could happen but in most cases guys are just trying to get in the game.
Is Sac State still open?
And then inevitably leave the profession once they realize it's highly unlikely they'll never be able to have a family while doing this well (and once they calculate what they'll be making per hour the rest of their lives). Seems to me they're the smart ones getting out though...

I think Rob Gary has some pretty good job security and his wife will be involved/supportive of the hire. They only have what will be four coaches and will have at least one female. All the griping here about “unqualified women coaches”, and not a shred of concern over full staffs with no females in it. Shameful. And the best part is that I am hearing the hire will be a male anyways from the finalists heard.

They have 6 coaches and do 25% of the event of the sport. Three jogging coaches to handle those events is more than enough.
Cale McDaniel to Furman now that he lost the reason he won SoCon COY honors to UNCW

Or get a job at Texas with no experience and make >$100k
Furman is not “jogging”. Their men were 12th 2 years ago and their women were 7th last year. That’s better than 95% of D1 programs.
