coach z from unm?
I can't handle any more poor throws coach hirings, from greg jack to jermaine jones, people are decimating the throws coach development opportunities. Stanford, Wake, and CSUN only major movers left with texas, kentucky, purdue, washington all locked up, also open are Idaho, Boise, Central Michigan and Hillsdale which have potential but won't cause any more stirs at a noticeable level....head coaches...make a good decision!
So Hayes at Wake hired Greg jack? Wow why would he do that? Michigan where did the head coach go? I thought he was the throes guy? Clayton?
Clayton is at Michigan, another guy was at central michigan and was fired this season.

I do not think Boise is a throws position. Central is hiring Saenz, Idaho will be a good situation coaching wise but the pay is terrible. But bad throws coaches in power 5 are like all others. They get recycled over and over again. There are many mid major coaches deserving of a shot but will not get it. Unless you are a female it is very hard to get that entry into p5. I don't know how many calls I get from other coaching staffs looking for a female candidate because admin is pressuring for a female hire. But once you are in the p5 circle jerk congratulations. You can be terrible and guaranteed an interview at the next p5 opening.
No shocker here, Bell named interim at Syracuse:
Who is cole hester and why does all his social media say he’s a new assistant coach at Notre Dame? I know Notre Dame is just trying to make bad moves right now but come on, seriously. Please tell me he’s a volunteer team manager of the clipboards and towels and not actually employed.

Wonder if Texas alumni and Austin resident Trey Hardee would be interested in the multis/jumps gig if Flo offered?
University of Maine at Fort Kent is closed. Matt Dyer formerly of Elms College will be the next coach.

Pretty sure Hardee hates Flo (and Texas) for the way Mario was treated...
Not even Flo can throw enough money at Hardee to get him to work for him.
Speaking of which, how much money has Texas “wasted” (granted its good for our sport) by hiring a head coach that no one wants to work for? They’ve had to pay a significant premium for his assistants, that were far down his “wish list” to begin with, and certainly not worth their alleged pay.
How does one justify hiring people with entry level credentials (ie $30k/ur equivalent) for Power 5 Head Coach (>$120k) kind of money? For a non-revenue sport at a state school, I’d be pretty upset with this...

What a suggestion.
Steele or George wanting their “ buddy” to coach them no doubt.
Doesn’t meet job posting criteria #1. #2 someone who has never actually coached at all. As in zero coaching experience. And thinking of getting hired at Texas .
You may have old athletes as assistants to sprints coaches and distance coaches for recruiting, relating and learning etc. but they aren’t the main coach writing training or actually technical coaching. To hire someone with with no experience as a coach, and no recruiting experience for that matter, for a full set of event groups get out of here Mr. Hardee . Those athletes should be more upset if that happened than the women’s distance group should be now.
All irrelevant as hire has been made and that was scraping bottom of barrel. Look for an announcement soon. At least the new coach has some years of experience at a couple of different power 5 schools.
Nope. I 'm a retired Field Marshal. My only connection to the state of Texas was driving across the panhandle in the 70's, en route my first army campaign.
With all the connections Hardee has in Europe, he would make a kick a$$ recruiter. Knowledge/experience level through the roof. Why should somebody like that start at Pismo Beach Community College? Then again, he might have zero interest in coaching.
Let's roll with Trey and see what happens. They already hired a distance person with only high school experience and Trey has Olympic experience. Texas should have hired Leo Manzano as men's distance, Trey as Multi and Sanya as sprints coach.
