UCF Athletic Director Danny White on top of it again. Today, posted on the UCF Track & Field 'roster & coaches' page, the following track & field staff hires were posted.
Roger Kingdom: new Director of Track & Field & Distances..two time Olympic short hurdles champion (hurdles/sprint coach!!?)
Scott March: new Assistant Coach, Distance
Novlene Mills: new Assistant Director of Program Development..four time Olympian, 1 silver, 3 bronze (sprint/relays !!?)
Erin Gilbreath: current Assistant Coach of UCF's strong Throws Group..
Go Knights !
Another reason our sport is a joke.
Why did Roger Kingdom stop coaching at Cal U PA?
Anyone in the PSAC care to share that story?
Good luck, UCF, under your new director!
You figured it out! My cousin doesn't watch track and field because of who UCF hired as their head coach.

It appears mostvoffbthe new UCF staff has ZERO actual coaching experience.
Distance dude went from volunteer to overseeing distance and a major conference!
Coach March has volunteered with JJ Clark, Corey Ihmels, Willy Woods, and BenThomas over the past six years. But yeah, they all stink... and I’m sure there’s lots of more experienced coaches with full time gigs lining up for this temp gig .
Dude’s earned his shot.
Kingdom literally was fired because he had totally checked out on coaching. Was lazy and not working hard at all. This is a really really bad hire.

So Bolden and Gray were fired for presumably not doing all the necessary stuff required (compliance paperwork, budget, recruiting, etc). So they bring in a guy who was fired for the same thing (supposedly), and two people who have never held a collegiate coaching position?
Wow that staff is not good. But it is way better than Bev and her looney toon of nuts and bolts. Why would you rush into that hire - horrible
Having spoken to a couple of people, I tend to agree, this could be a good appointment. Coach March is held in high regard with people he has worked with.
Maybe a young hungry coach is what UCF need, instead of a stale old timer like they had previously

Does this mean they are adding track and field......their website doesn't indicate they currently have one.
This is the clutter that doesn't need to be on here any longer. If you've got beef with Roger, why don't you pick up the phone and call the UCF Track office and share your feelings rather than baiting your fellow trolls.

So, what do you want this dude to say when he calls the King-dom?... "Hey Coach, I just want to let you know that I know you ghosted the last team you were directing? Best wishes in the new job." At what point does the truth become troll bait?

Is there a post anywhere? Any insight to their athletic department culture and support?

It is posted in the University job board
Is BAA going to hire a coach or what? Have they made any offers and people just aren't taking it? I know a ton of college coaches whose dream is to have a pro group, seems like this would be a good job
Curious,
What is it about the Princeton job that would be desirable? Looking for honest answers.
Pay? Doesn't seem that high. Thinking nothing more than 100k a year. Would love to know if I am wrong.
Location? Meh.
Facilities? Meh.
Athletes? I can't imagine having to recruit to an Ivy. I've seen some success because the schools draw top talent but outside of that it's not like it's a power 5 job.
Super happy about Jake Shaver at Auggie, He's a great guy and an even better coach
Perhaps you should have applied since you seem to have all the knowledge necessary? Shoo troll, shoo
