How official is it that jermaine is leaving? Where are you all seeing this or how do you know?

Texas is Done. But it’s not Watson... announcement tomorrow.
Texas will go back to Herbster, who just turned down UNC, which will go with Roberts mostly because it is too late to start over.
Any departures from UVA will not slow them down. Fetzer has shown everywhere he has been that he can coach every event on the track. He coached both Montoya and Coe while he was at Cal.
Looks like Ben Thomas is already in Eugene
If true this is an awful hire. the majority of Wakes throwers underachieved or got worse.
Sad because Purdue has some good young throwers.
Yes if true... that’ll be the worst move for that programs throw legacy.
Thomas most likely to Oregon.
Some of the VT athletes are wishing him luck on social media lately so seems like writing is on the wall.
If this is true, Purdue ahs failed its athletes. Western Carolina coach should have got this job. He is one of the best up and coming coaches in the nation. Just look at what he's done in two years as a head coach, completely elevated the program at Western Carolina to new heights. They are so afr ahead of everyone else in the Slowcon, it's a joke.
That guy in slowcon is average at best can name 50 young coaches better than him.

Once all of Danny's recruits graduate, he and the team will struggle
Never heard of this program or guy before can’t even remember his name as I type this , get lost self promoter
If Watson does take Texas , his hipster days will be limited to office time. Edrick will make sure he gets every dollar out of that staff. UNC is interesting and now it seems VT comes on the board.
Connor Ashbury-Mahoney to Samford. Roll Damn Tide
Is Ben Thomas really leaving VT he has been there for years?? UNC seems to be a mess with Harliss probably one year out he needs a stable hire who can coach, and recruit in one year.
Let's be real here...Sarah Haveman doesn't actually coach anyone. She is a glorified clipboard holder and does whatever Jake Stewart tells her to do. She is more like team mom, not a coach.

Sarah Haveman is a good person and a good coach. She needs to be given the opportunity to get her feet on the ground in Champaign/Urbana, develop relationships with the runners she inherited, and recruit her own athletes. I hope she is successful on all counts.
Scott Jones
Is that really you, Scott?
Anyway, I think that the results, or lack thereof, speak for themselves. Knowing her from Dayton, her abrasive personality doesn't help matters.
What will UVA do, the acc is in an uproar? Men and women will both be available. Move Dunn into men and Vig into the women’s spot? Oh that will not happen, they tried that before at UVA. Fetzer needs to get in the game. If Vig can’t get hired at UVA , no shot at Texas.
As someone who has been in the running world for almost 35 years, as a national championship winning high school coach, D1 coach, and member of the USATF administration, it is really sad to watch this strand. Outside of a few people who have added sensible comments, most have attacked people who wake up everyday to try and make OUR sport a better place. These posts go against the general characteristics of the running world, which tends to be one of mutual support and respect for those in the game. People have slammed coaches personalities, called young student-athletes at UNC, Texas and others places terrible things, and passed judgement. I am sure most who have done so have also done VERY LITTLE in our sport. Have you ever coached at the collegiate level? Have you RUN at the NCAA level? How can you call athletes who worked so hard to earn scholarships entitled. And didn't every young coach, at one point, have little experience and get a chance to prove their commitment to the sport. Sad to see a bunch of "Sunday morning quarterbacks" in the great world of running. That is usually reserved for pro and other sports. Very atypical of the running/track arena. Good things most of you are dead wrong about the values, commitment, intentions of the coaches and athletes you are slamming. Know SOMETHING before you post.

This is BS. I coach in the Socon and can tell you that WCU is only getting better. instead of getting 100 average recruits, Cale has begun getting better sprinters. I would say that they will be dominating Samford within the next two years.
It literally costs only $500/year for tuition at WCU. They kill the conference with numbers. Samford and ETSU only other fully-funded programs in entire conference with the others not even having 50% NCAA limits. Half the teams score less than 20 points during track season. WCU's throwers didn't even make Regionals and aside from Furman distance and Samford pole vault, nobody dreams of qualifying for NCAA Championship finals.
