I made no assumptions but you have made plenty. I said "a" dream job not his. I also offered two options, either offered and passed up or never offered. Both are bad for the Floreal argument because he either couldn't land yet another high end coach or never offered one of the best coaches in the nation who YOU assume have a great working relationship.
Also let's compare the two schools if we want to get into facts:
Overall budget - Texas
Coaches Salary pool - Texas
In state Talent - Texas
Cost of Living - Texas
Weather for Power athletes - Texas
Facilities - Texas
Tradition - Texas
Overall Athletic Dominace and exposure - Texas
Cost of School - Texas, 2k less on living expenses
Academics - Tie
Coffee - UW :)
So what's left? All the intangibles, work life balance, stress, scholarship control, working relationship among others that are all influenced one way or another by Floreal.
What isn't said/known is very powerful when lined up against the facts we do know, which when summed up:
Texas is a much much better job so what makes UW more desirable for Toby? Most roads lead to factors under Floreal's influence, that's what is so damning here.
