Jenkins,
I get that they keep cutting your budget, I do, I really do, but coming on here and posting about yourself (first it was the UK job, and now it’s the Purdue job) is just sad.
Apply, maybe you’ll get an interview
Well said
So when will the Samford distance position get posted? That should be pretty hot, considering they had an NCAA champion.

Does she even have eligibility remaining?

Milt is Director of Track and Field at Stanford. Why would he ever leave that for a lesser position?
People don't get the expectations that exist at Stanford. I've AD expects you to win an NCAA title. They win the Sears Cup every year. I once heard they had a meeting a Stanford and the AD asked all the head coaches to stand up who had won an NCAA title. Nearly every coach but the track / xc coaches stood up.
The xc team is one of the worst non-revenue fall sports at Stanford and they both finished 4th in the country last year. I'm not joking.
Here is how the Stanford fall sports teams did last year:
Women's Volleyball - made final 4 in 2017.
Men's Soccer- Won 3 straight national titles.
Women's Soccer - Won 2017 NCAA title.
Women's field hockey - Didn't make NCAAs.
Water polo men - Ranked 4th in country
Women's XC - 4th in country
So why would you leave? Just to get out off of that pressure.

McGregor back to Texas as new distance coach...
Fired at Samford does not translate well to hired at Texas...
Why would he be fired at Samford? Didn't he coach an NCAA title winner?
I am not on here promoting myself, but I do know the progression of the athletes I have coached. I do appreciate the positive comments. See you on the track.
McGregor is the top coach under 34 in the NCAA. He wasn't fired. He just didn't want to deal with the joke that the SOCON is. He is taking the Texas job, and leveraging other offers to get a higher salary. He is a savvy, young professional. How can all of you running nerds not see this? He does not have to deal with bringing kids along, and is able to leverage and manipulate other offers to raise his salary at his alma mater. He basically had the Auburn job in the bag last year with alumni connections, but turned it down to work with Nelson.
If he wanted it easy, he should have stayed at G'Town. You get what you ask for, If I'm the AD at Stanford, "Home of Champions" I'd be asking coaches to stand up as well.
Nothing about Milt has impressed me. He hasn't even maintained what Jason Dunn did. Dunn was way better. Milt has been a joke, and has managed the talent level of a few good studs. McGregor could do better than Milt. Please bring a new coach in.
You idiot....he has four children and a wife..he's not a liberal loser like you.
Enough Already, we get it McGregor has obviously had drinks with enough people to get his named pushed a ton this coaching season, this kid has barely scratched the surface of what it is to coach. Yes he was able to compete well as an athlete at Texas, and land some decent coaching jobs, thru friends leaving and prob recommending him., but for the love of god can we stop already with this boy being the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Unless you live in the Bay Area, you have no idea the terror that non-progressives feel on a daily basis. Speaking out against the liberal-approved orthodoxy is hazardous to your livelihood, personal property, and health. During the last election, the police departments of San Jose and Sacramento allowed Progressives to bloody anyone that gathered for the purpose of expressing an unapproved opinion. There were riots on the Cal campus over a few people trying to give speeches that went against the government-approved position. Why would a coach want to stay in that area under those conditions? Why would a family send their kids to Stanford, Cal, UCD, Sac, etc when they would have to be indoctrinated or get a beat down? Milt would do better elsewhere.

Jason Dunn was not the director of the program and did not coach the women’s team at all.
This has to be the stupidest post ever posted on LetsRun, and as you all know, that's a VERY high bar. Congratulations; you've reached an epic level of idiocy.
