Everyone:
You all assume that the opening being discussed aren't actively being pursued, both by the head coaches who have openings, and those interested in the openings. Lets take for example the opening at Oregon. Robert Johnson is a very good head coach and knows his business. He has made calls to most of the top distance coaches in the country doing his due diligence. What was he asking? First, if they would be interested in the position, and if not recommendations on who they respect in the profession. I know for a fact that all of the major positions have had people interviewing. Notre Dame, Oregon, Kentucky, etc, all of them are in the finals stages of deciding who will be the next head coach. So everyone take a deep breath and enjoy the summer. Good luck.
