Keep it simple as a few have suggested.

I like this. It shows that you're interested in why and how instead of just superfluous results. I'd infer that you're a curious person that could get interested in other subjects on a deeper level than just looking at the final results. The second phrase about Shalane was a bit much though.
This is exactly what I was going for. I'll take out the part about Shalane but maybe I should still include something like this then?
I am interested in long-term relationships so I imagine the guys who are interested in that too will at least read some of my profile.
Oh for the love of GOD how did we get to page 3 without
PICS????????????????
Goddammit you people make me so goddamn mad sometimes.

Oh sh*t this one slipped past me.
So I took out the part about Shalane, especially since not many people will really know who she is.
Here is what I now have: I enjoy pegging and how there's a lot of strategy involved beyond just people pegging.
I’ll be in Boston in March, maybe we could go on a date then.
just say you like running that is all a runner needs to know and all a non runner needs to know

I knew that. ;)
Leave the comment in there. Running is a part of your life and be proud of that. Just don't write excessively about it or put in tons of pics of you running. That will scare off non-runners. (Yes, most guys are scared of a girl who's faster/stronger/fitter than them.)
You attract more guys in general by putting out hot pics, but you attract more guys that are interesting *to you* by giving out such small hooks that they can grab on to.
Good luck, curious sweetie!
