Does anyone know what the USATF Indoor Championship Qualifying Standards are?
Does anyone know what the USATF Indoor Championship Qualifying Standards are?
Did you check the USATF Indoor website?
Those are last years standards.

Do they change that much from year to year?

Last years numbers are good guide lines

USATF Indoor Championships
Albuquerque Convention Center
February 16-18, 2018
Albuquerque, NM
Information will be posted as soon as it becomes available
They can change quite a bit from year to year, and it's driving me nuts that I can't find them. I'm an athlete who is attempting to make the standard, without knowing what it is. I've called USATF a few times, no response.
You don't care enough.
GO TO THE ANNUAL MEETING.
or you have to wait an additional Month.
This is a disgrace as usual. There are only two months left to qualify in and they have no idea what the standards will be?
When will the USATF get its act together?

Why does this matter to you? Are you going to alter your competitiveness depending on the standard? Will the standard really be that much different than last year?

1) Exactly how much did they change for the past 2 year-to-years?
2) Why do you need to know what the standard is 2 months away? The standard shouldn't affect your training. You should be training to run as fast as possible. You don't need to know the standard to do that.
Are you just looking for something to be upset about? Addicted to outrage?
All of you saying "not knowing the standard shouldn't change his training" are speaking like idiots. Obviously, as a serious athlete, you should want to know the standard to qualify for USA's. And maybe knowing the standard WOULD change the way someone trains and competes, AS IT SHOULD. If you know the time and where you stand in relation to it, maybe it changes your racing schedule, or when you decide to go hard (in racing and training) and at which meets.

Standards are always finalized at the annual meeting last week. Those that attended should already know the standards. If people are worrying that much, they should have attended the meeting. You can look at previous years and get a very good idea of the standard.

Why would a few seconds make such a difference how you train and where you race? You should be training and racing for the best time possible. Again, like I said before, you don't need to know the standard for that.

Nevermind. I found it myself. I don't know which event you are looking for, but here is what I found for the men's mile:
2015- 3:59.5
2016- 3:57.5
2017- 3:59.5
Doesn't look like so much change that I'd need to change my training or racing schedule.

The proposed standard for 2018 is 3:57.50 or a 3:40.20 1500 with a target field size of 12 (they will take people below the standard up to that size). If you are close to the standard, enter!
3k proposed standard is 8:00.00 with a target field size of 16, it looks like a 13:30.00 5k will also get you in.
Did you need a different event?
The National Office promised to get them posted before Christmas *eye roll*
What about the sprints, 60m and 60m hurdles Men

The proposed standards were:
60m Dash 6.70 with a target field size of 24 (three rounds)
60mH 8.00 with a target field size of 24 (three rounds).
Keep in mind that the meet has never been this early before. Normally the meet conflicts with the college conference meets and we see very few collegiate athletes. This year, we may see more college athletes than normal. If more athletes hit that standard, they will make the field bigger. If less athletes hit it, they will take athletes below the standard.
Entry standards
The qualification period for all events runs from 1 January 2017 to 19 February 2018 (midnight Monaco time), except for the Combined Events where the qualification period runs from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2017 and the five best athletes from the 2018 Indoor Lists (as at 12 February 2018). Twelve athletes will be invited in the Heptathlon and in the Pentathlon as follows: the winner of the 2017 Combined Events Challenge. One athlete which may be invited at the discretion of the IAAF. In total no more than two male and two female athletes from any one Member will be invited. Upon refusals or cancellations, the invitations shall be extended to the next ranked athletes in the same lists respecting the above conditions.
