I agree. Why be an Olympian if its not to win. Do you have a public contact?

As a USAT member, Gwen's Gold medal success in Rio should have made you feel inspired and proud, not because your dues helped her per se, but because you are part of the triathlon family. Thanks for posting!
Yes, but you're doing the exact opposite.

Actually... if anyone out there is a 5'8'' 118lb 13:30 guy, email me at pstriathlon at gmail. Thanks.

For a distance runner that has run under your 14:10 qualifying mark what would you consider a reasonable time to swim a 1500 in to be under your "background in swimming" category?
This is a tricky question, so thanks for your patience with my reply. I haven't been asked 1500m swim time for a runner, because most runners I've dealt with swam in HS, and so the longest event is 500. I'm taking a stab that 1:22 LCM base/100, so like 20:30, would be solid. Honestly though, our 2 swim tests would give a much better indication as there are a multitude of variables that go into my giving a time on the 1500m in regards to training that went into it. Our first swim test is the 100/500, 1' rest between and both from a push (400 if meters). The second is a fitness test (to be done after some training) of 3 sets of 8x100 on a descending interval, just making the interval. I'd love to hear why you asked about a 1500m time?

Hi, I was wondering if there is anyone in the CRP program now? How many people do you take? Interested in the program.. not too much swimming experience though. Do you only look at runners?
Currently there are 2 athletes as part of the CRP Resident Team and there are 6 other "Bona Fide" recruits around the country. These recruits are in various stages of their schooling, NCAA eligibility, and testing, but all have received some sort of support in terms of coaching, equipment, camps, mentorship based on potential, PRs, and testing. We do not have a set limit (high or low) on numbers. We do recruit swimmers but the % of swimmers has definitely decreased over the years because the int'l triathlon run is just so fast. Taylor Spivey (Cal Poly) is the last swimmer to come through the CRP Resident Team and one of the 6 mentioned above is also an Olympic Trials qualifier in swimming.

My google powers are weak because I can't find what college is Scott Llewellyn is running for.
Sorry you need to look at intermediate division in queensland. . What if you had a 6'2 athlete with an 6'7 arm span who has ridden A grade (highest grade) as a junior in crit racing and has run under 31 minutes for 10k cross country. Don't get to caught up in non off the bike speed. Has run 14:40's but as the teacher who got Michael Matthews into cycling my belief is that he is capable of sub 14:20/sub 30. Or google Nathan Hart who is also another one of my students.
had to do some research, guessing you mean Clews-Proctor?
What happened from then onwards though when they all started racing junior ITU ? he was nowhere near them. He never had results to make the Aus junior teams that they both did. If he can try and race for USA may get some race starts but the young Aussies are pretty strong at the moment, be hard to break in there.
