Were all the kids on the LV team born and raised in that town, or did some of them move in from other places? Can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere.

I’m not sure about others, but Affolder moved there this year, due to his father taking a job at the Pentagon.

There has been a lot of chatter on this on a few threads.
No. There have been a couple of kids that recently moved to the area .
But so what.

So elitist. Ugh.
Given the amount of space on this board devoted to bashing Loudoun Valley for winning NXN with "transfers", guessing you are just trolling though maybe you just haven't been paying attention.
But in the off chance that you are genuinely curious, I believe 6 of their top 9 boys have grown up in the area and attended the local schools since elementary or middle school. Two others are from military families who have moved a lot and the last one moved to town right before 9th grade.
Were all the kids on FM's team born in the FM area? I heard one of their boys transferred to FM. How about Great Oak kids? All born in the Temecula area? Maybe so, but I know they have at least one girl who transferred there this year. How about any high school team, any sport, anywhere? Probably very few consist only of kids who were born and raised in the school zone.
LV would have won NXN without Sam Affolder. And would have finished within 2 points of winning without Sam AND Connor Wells, their two "transfers." The evidence seems to point in the direction of athlete development thru decent coaching and good team culture, not recruiting kids to join the team.

Ha, sorry, my intent was really just to make fun of the people who are making a big deal of the whole "transfer" thing. The idea that kids moving to a new school is somehow nefarious is quickly becoming one of the most asinine LR memes I've encountered.

Lol. LV is sooo convenient to the Pentagon after all.
Is Loudoun Valley a private school?
No. A public school way out in the sticks.

Westchester County isn't really convenient to Wall Street, either, but people are allowed to live where they want even if some dude with a chip on his shoulder and 8,000 LR screen names doesn't like it.

Why not just be honest with your intent in the first place? Instead you added to the stupid drama and it hurts the kids, the coaches and the sport. Making a mockery of it all.
I am so frustrated with the bashing on this forum. It brings everything down instead of building up. It's not conversation, it is drama. Intentional drama.
I was at the Gloucester meet at Boo Williams this weekend and the Loudon Valley boys were there. Affolder ran a 4:11 mile and split 51 on 4 x 4. 6 boys 4:40 or under. Plus they all ran 1000 too. Wow. But.....after every race every kid on the team shook hands with the other competitors. Say what you want about transfers, etc.....they were a classy group there and fun to watch.
Not From Fairfax County.
