Does anybody know how they train or how they went from not making it to NXN to getting the all-time lowest score in a single year?

Yes, I do know how they went from never making it to NXN to getting the all-time lowest score in a single year.
One word. Say it with me: transfers!

Loudon
There’s already a thread on this

There’s a video on it also
In fact "Loudoun"
It probably helps that Loudoun County has the highest median house income of any country in the US. $117876.
Come to the clinic and hear what they do.
Someone knows the exact stat, but without the transfers they'd have been second, and I think only a few points from the win.
Really excited about the line-up for the clinic. Boy's 1st and 3rd and girls 2nd at NXN represented at the clinic, so half of the podium spots ("Denver" is Mountain Vista - Jonathan Dalby).
At current count three other coaches with teams at the meet are coming to attend.

How many countries are there in the US?
It sucks that Milesplit has to say that Loudon Valley CRUSHES 1000m repeats when they are CV, or 10k pace intervals. They are not crushing them, but I suppose that's click bait for ya. I hope whoever wrote that headline feels bad.

Taking a page right out of the Tinman's book.

And if the houses are earning that kind of income on their own, imagine what the household income must be like.
Careful, you might trigger the LV trolls that love to peruse this website. They maintain that they ABSOLUTELY did NOT win NXN because of their transfers, it was all hard work.

The way Clickbait Culture is getting, next year it will be "Loudoun MUTILATES, EVISCERATES, AND ANNIHILATES 4 mile tempo run!"
As said before, Loudon Valley's success was mostly aided by transfers. If you want to see training that year by year gets strong, consistent results and doesn't break down athletes before college, I would look at American Fork XC. Casey Clinger is doing phenomenal as a freshman, even beating out the few people ahead of him in high school.

No, you're wrong. I'm a LV troll, and I can say unequivocally that LV won NXN because we are just incredibly talented, to such an extent that there was very little hard work involved in being #1.

I don't think it would be unfair to say that those 2 amazing transfers also helped the other guys get faster as well. The parts created a better whole.

I agree with Jay Johnson; they would have got second place w/out their two transfers. They also have great coaches who have coached Alan Webb and Drew Hunter, and now an NXN winning team.
Sam, you should stop posting here, you just make yourself look bad. Nobody cares what you think!
