watch out for xavier next year. they did not have the best day at nxn and are returning a lot from their CT state champion, new england champion, and nxr champion team. definitely a top 10 team at nxn next year. bishop hendricken is looking good for next year too. their whole top 7 is returning after a 3rd place finish at nxr to xavier and cba.
They may not have had their best day, but they weren’t bad at NXN. Milesplit and Dyestat both projected them worse than the 18th that they received. Also keep in mind Xavier got handed the Northeast as Lincroft bombed big time and had their worst race of the season, while Xavier only ran slightly better than they had been to the point based off of speed ratings.
As of right now it’s hard to say that they’d be top 10, but experience defineately does help. It’s not always the race that causes runners to underperform at NXN, but the lead up to the race where some teams get distracted.
