I know Marty is in Med School and Rochelle hasn't been racing well, but Marty especially has a ton of potential.

I'm pretty sure Marty is still doing everything by the NAZ books (coaching, Hoka) ... just from philadelphia. Kinda hard to call yourself NAZ if youre in Philly.
Only two women on their roster. That's not a good sign of growth.
Saw that Fauble posted on instagram -- "Please buy these shoes so that I can keep getting paid to do this..."
Sure is a dog eat dog world in the professional running game.
I think Hehir’s leaving was his own choice.
Hoka shoes just aren't that good. I know it works well for some people but it's not for everyone.
When Hehir went to med school the public narrative was that he was staying on the roster, and he continued to race in the singlet and appear on social media.
Kanuho never advanced in NAZ system.
The fall was make or break for this team. Good marathon performances were billed as the path to save the group’s validity and budget. Taylor and Llano both have huge (for their accomplishment level) contracts that probably equal all other group funding.
Josh Cox, the only agent that has any stake and athletes in the group, may have built a sand castle in Flagstaff.
Rochelle Kanuho ..... why? what happened?
She's been horrible for the past 2 years. Good move.

What pro sport isn’t brutally competitive?
According to their site Kellyn Taylor is the womens WR holder in the HM with a 63:13. So I wouldn't take everything on there as gospel.

Can you imagine moving from Flag to Philadelphia? My goodness, that makes my stomach turn just to think about it. Just a horrible place, followed closely by Cleveland.
Agree, some on the team got lucrative contracts, beyond industry standards (based on performance), and the Hoka brand isnt performing as well as it once was (financially speaking). Like it or not, this is a business, and its based on ROI. It wouldnt suprise me to see more cut backs in the future. I wish NAZElite nothing but the best, but our sport just doesnt pay
Kanuho ran well today. Who is coaching her?
Just beat Molly Seidel at Portland Track Fest 10k.

Wife, kids, med school, and marathon training? I hope he doesn't have any hobbies, because he won't time for those anymore.
He signed a contract with Reebok a while back.
I have to agree with the above poster - Hoka's just aren't a good shoe for being quick. Yeah some people have ran 2:19-2:30 off them. That's not crap though in the scope of things. Literally everyone who goes to Hoka ends up being slow.

Wonder how much better Kanuho has to do in order to get a sponsor again. I imagine that she will run the 10,000 at USAs, hopefully she does well there.
To earn a contract? Rochelle would probably have to make the 2020 Olympic Team. There’s no real upside to putting her in a company’s gear.
I don’t agree with this situation, but it is the way that the business works. Look at Sarah Vaughn-made a World Team and still unsponsored a year later. There are no accommodations in running for the developmental or veteran athlete who can still perform but most likely will not make Teams and/or kill it on social media.
