I didn’t buy into the Tuohy hype until today. A few observations:
-She runs like a boy. Her stride is incredibly long and powerful.
-She has the most shoulder/arm definition of any NXN runner we’ve seen for a long time. This adds to the “masculine” running look. I assume that she must do a lot of weight room stuff to look like that. It definitely helped her to have so much upper body and core strength today!
Can’t wait to see how she does in track. We won’t have to be content with mere course records. We can compare her track times to the all-time greats more accurately.
EARTH to the easy coast..... Sorry, but Lane won the Footlocker West race by 1:12!!!!!
I hate to continue the Mary Cain comparison but it's hard not to see it with her hair like that...

Yep. Although Mary was very svelte and feminine while Tuohy is muscle bound like a sprinter.

I wouldn't say she looks masculine at all. Her form looks like a professional woman's form rather than a high school girl's. She's definitely toned but, again, she looks comparable to a professional female.
It's possible she just developed a little early which could be a good thing as she won't have the 18-22 year old slump.
Most of the top HS runners are either a year older than peers or born earlier in the year. This works out to a big advantage in HS running.
Her developing early is not the explanation so much as her muscle fiber type which is designed for stamina and speed.
Runnerspace.com has both videos of boys and girls race, Tuohy is in another league.......awesome performance.
The one girl who went out with Tuohy the first 800 was London Culbreath, NXR-S winner.
She ran 7:00 for her last 1.1 mile.
31 CULBREATH, LONDON SO 244 SOUTH-1 — 18:28.0 1:44.0 5:56.2 3:41.6 5:23.5 (4) 11:28.6 (9)
She was featured in the coverage lying almost comatose in the mud well after the finish. Lesson learned, hopefully.

If it were such an advantage, then we wouldn't consistently see freshman and sophomore girls (in both high school and college) doing so well.

If you're saying she has genetic gifts, then that's obvious. But unless you've done a biopsy, I'm pretty sure you have no idea what her muscle fiber type is, at least compared to any of the other top runners, who will all have a fairly high percentage of slow oxidative fibers.
Incidentally, a high percentage of fast oxidative fibers, which is what I interpret "stamina and speed" to refer to, is not a likely explanation for her dominance, as those fibers can take a while to properly train. A sophomore in high school with a high percentage of fast oxidative fibers is likely to be a good middle distance runner, but will run comparatively worse in a 5k race. (After more years of training, the fast-oxidative dominant runner may be the superior 5k runner, but by that time, the purely slow-twitch runners should also have moved up in distance.)

Actually, Katelynne Hart ran pretty close to Tuohy and Culbreath for 800m, then duked it out with first Culbreath, then Chmiel, who wisely held a smart early pace. If Hart had run with Chmiel from the start, she could have been in contention for second and definitely third. Great talent there, and could take it next year if Tuohy runs FL instead.

Culbreath's hair in the mud looked awful. Must've taken a while to clean up post-race.

Basically the same thing that happened th Chemill at regionals . Touhy is the GOAT. I wonder if Alberto is trying to get her to go pro for track?

I hope not. She should at least get one more year in HS. I'm looking forward to seeing her set national records in track though.
