Galen- 2:06:06. Mo's alarm doesn't go off and he sleeps through repeated rings of the doorbell
neither of them win but Mo finishes 40 seconds in ahead of Galen because he's a better runner.
There used to be times that boston was Mosop and Mutai. Now it’s Farah and Rupp.
A tactical boring 2:08 in which Mo will probably win if it comes down to the wire due to his superb kick. Like a repeat of their good old days on the track, but 32 kilometers longer.
Galen 2:04:04
Mo 2:05:05
Fast race = Mo: 2:05 // Galen: 2:08
Tactical = Go watch Mo race & let me know how that always ends lol
They tie for first, holding hands aloft as they finish.

Wearing the race shirts? They'd have to start in back

Honestly I think Galen is a better marathoner than Mo is going to be. He's taken to it like a fish to water and is still very hungry for more success. Mo seems pretty content with what he's accomplished (he won't even commit to running through 2020), but maybe he'll get hungrier and get a breath of fresh air with his switch to the roads.

Mo sits until 600 m to go...takes the lead...slaps head and does the MO-Bot as he cross the finish line...drops to knees and kisses ground.

NEITHER

You forgot the part where his eyes get wide, he opens his mouth, and you see his pearly whites. He always acts like it was a surprise victory before he crosses the line and then gives his trademark symbol recognized the world over because he always wins.
But in all seriousness why would Mo avoid the huge payday and faster time at London just to do Boston? The only reason for him to do Boston is if he's trying to get the softer field.
If it's an actual race, or a tactical one, Mo will win. He's got more experience, and his ability to stick it out through problems that may occur through out a race (see the races he's fell, and still won). Not only this, but his finishing kick is absolutely superb, I'm confident he'd be able to destroy Galen's. Not only this, but I'm sure, as they are frequent training partners, Galen is probably well aware in their gap of abilities as distance increases, and Mo starts to reach the finishing. So, Mo would 100% win in my opinion, his ability to read a race, and keep in competition no matter what is thrown his way, is a trump card that Galen has no answer to.
Rupp also has a history of racing well after falling or having to stop mid-race. The 2009 NCAA 5000m and the 2011 NYC Half come to mind. That doesn’t mean he’d beat Farah, just that Farah probably doesn’t have an edge there. If the race is hot, so far I’d favor Rupp, who’s done remarkably well in heat; I don’t know if Farah has been tested in a long, hot race yet.

I dont think farah will be able to ruin the marathon as he did the track, because the marathoners of today are quite strong. I guess it depends on whether or not they fear him.
Rupp would have a better chance at winning because Mo is running London.
Was anyone aware that Mo did an 8 mile tempo yesterday?

Mo was a better tactician on the track than Galen. He put himself in better positions and pushed at the right times. This is probably a smaller factor in the marathon though. If you're in a bad position at the bell in a tactical 5k you're probably SOL. But in the marathon there's only going to be a few left the last few miles, so it doesn't really matter. The issue would be if Galen pushed too early or late, or let Mo draft off of him for an extended period.
