Hello everyone,
We would like to get your honest thoughts and feedback on our camp that is in second year. It can be about anything. Just curious about how you would make it better.
So what is this camp:
Running Abroad.
.
It is a summer running camp that blend altitude training on the highest track in Europe, in the Pyrennees mountain at the international training center with a ton of exploration/activities of the south of France.
The thought is that while you might be running once or twice a day during a camp, you still have a ton of free time, and this is where this camp if a bit different as it is a full immersion program.
In addition to the daily training, we will be visiting the city of Toulouse, the castle of Carcasonne, spend the night by the Mediterranean see, go hike to the Spanish border, spend a day in the country of Andorra, go zip-line in the mountain, go to natural hot springs, wander on the cobblestone streets to end up in french cafes, enjoy the french cuisine, and visit many small villages along the way. We will also be offering complementary one hour french classes.
But hey, it is not just about the experience too as we will also be focusing on making people fast for the upcoming XC season. The lead counselor is Martin Casse (3:39 1,500m) who was just selected in the national French team last summer and this winter in XC. We will be staying most of the time in Font-romeu, where hundreds of pro-athlete go every summer summer (Farah and Rupp are usually there in the summer, Paula radcliffe bought a house there, Kylian Jornet also trains there...)
When is it: July 8th to July 21th 2018.
For whom: Anybody who is in HS and run XC or anything above 800m. Any level. We have had in the past some very fast and some less fast campers and everyone had a ton of fun.
Again, while I'd love for you to like what we do and talk to the people you know in HS, I am mainly here looking for thoughts and feedback on the camp, the dates, the website, anything really...
Thanks!
Julien
