They were not great demolition experts.
Rojo they are only doing this because interest rates are so low, politicians around the world are spending without consequences. Sydney has so many football/rugby/league stadiums you wouldn't believe it.

Sydney Olympic people should be fed the the lions, as should nearly all Olympic organizers and brass. beyond pathetic, beyond corrupt, ....
Is the Olympic stadium even used with regularity anymore? Most of them just sit and rot. I would think that a rebuild would at least have significantly reduced seating capacity, but that's not what they're reporting.
Here in the UK we give our stadiums built for major games at public expense to mediocre soccer teams - and those responsible try and convince us that we are getting a good deal! (Thinking of London and Manchester here!)
