I corrected the thread title for you. You are welcome in advance.
Yet another American with a long distance best that is better than Rupp's.
Only because Rupp almost never runs competitive half marathons.

He's run quite a few HM.
There's no cloud following Korir wherever he hoes.
Personally, I wouldn’t mind if Leonard hoes.

Rupp has never made a serious attempt at sub-60 (unless that one in Europe this Spring was supposed to be one). Philadelphia this Fall was hot and he appeared to be practicing his Chicago tactics.
- Just remember .... WCAP Fans, you the US taxpayer paid for this performance. And our Army chooses to allow him to malinger in WCAP versus fight the Global War on Terror in East Africa for which he enlisted as part of the Military Accessions Vital to the National Interest (MAVNI).
- Priorities?

So let's recap, he's not really American and he's not really in the Army either. Next, we'll find out he's still based in Kenya.
So what the hell is he? wrote:

I demand an investigation.
Typical disgusting bigoted racists back in full force on LetsRun.
No one in American dares to malign our troops, but its always open season on foreign born soldiers, some of who HAVE fought and died for the US, while they were citizens of other countries.
Deal with it losers: Loenard Korir is American..let that sink in for a minute.
- How do you know what color I am?
- This foreign-born fake soldier is not fighting for anyone .... he is running .... and you, assuming you are American, are paying his salary & expenses!

- I agree with the investigation: "Why is Specialist Korir NOT serving in the Global War on Terror in East Africa as his MAVNI enlistment demanded?"
Aside from the military issue, can we point out that these three guys dipped under 60:00 at a race where the air quality index was 308 out of 500 ( above 300 is hazardous, 100 is normal, 50 is good) and some people were racing in mask. I would have to believe based on his run today that Korir is fit enough break the American record for the half if isn't inhaling 13.1 miles worth of smog.
Who cares what color you are..you made a bigoted statement.
Do you really think everyone in the army is on the front lines with a gun in their hands? I would assume that Korir went thru army training and is well qualified to be there. I have no problem paying his salary. There are HUNDREDS of others who are befitting from my job/taxes and doing a far worse job. Korir trains hard and brings pride to HIS army and HIS country.
Dude is so suspicious. Halfs like the Delhi one and full marathons like Dubai are typically where the who's who of dopers go to test how well their regimen works. This Korir fellow, I suspect he is now going back home to Kenya a bit to "catch up" on things?

Let me remind you that noone here is American unless you are 100% Native American blood.

You either don't know how the military works or your fingers are in your ears as you say la, la, la, la....
I spent my time with the Marines in supply, that was my MOS. I and others can and were TAD'ed at the discretion of the Marines when and where they want. From the first day of boot until I was discharged the policy was: "You go where the Marines need/want you", regardless of your MOS or personal preferences. The ARMY is likely the same way.
