Well, it does. Good news
Mostly the usual bunch of no-name Morroccans, E. Euros, B-level Kenyans, Chinese, etc.. Two things though-
-Are there any coaches left in Turkey left without a lifetime ban? What is the deal there...it's hard to nail coaches but they got a whole bunch of them for trafficking...a sting?
-A couple of Chinese high schoolers busted. Gotta start 'em young!

Rosefline Chepngetich was a former world junior champ and was 3rd in the DL Rabat steeple this year, where she was caught. Hopefully her prize money gets redistributed appropriately.
Margaret Bamgbose ran at Worlds this year in the 400m and made the semifinals. By some stroke of luck (injury? or maybe she knew she was caught and didn't want to put her team at risk?) she didn't run on the Nigerian 4x4 team there -- if she had, she would have invalidated their impressive 5th-place showing.
Also cool to see they are still busting people from the 2007 / 2009 WCs like triple-jumper Athanasia Perra, or the 2008 Olympics.
What does it mean to get a "Public Warning"? Does that mean they were caught and the IAAF decided to do nothing about it? If so how is that OK?

And if they're a big name do they get a "Private Warning"?
Chaunte Lowe upgraded to Oly bronze thanks to these sanctions:

They are only getting those who take drugs prior to OOC tests.
Lots of Moroccans for what I think was blood doping.
ABDULAZIZ LADAN MOHAMMED a 1:44.37 800m was also blood doping in 2013.
Kenyan Joseph Gitau a 2:06:58 marathoner, where is Rekrunner?
Florence Chepkosgei a 2:29 marathoner.
I thought Doping does not work for africans
I found two Joseph Gitau's. Kenyan Joseph Gitau Kariuki is a 2:19:13 runner, which he ran in 2013, and in 2017, ran 2:30, 2:31, and 2:34 (the doped one in Yangon, MYA in January). The other Joseph Gitau is ranked 370 of all time, ran 2:06:58 in 2012, and also is running slower in 2017 - 2:17.

I'm pretty sure it is the 2:06 version. Perhaps he is a dopeaholic getting back on the wagon.
Finding the Saudi Abdulaziz wasn't easy either.
And what makes you so sure? Here's what I found: The 2:06:58 runner -- looks like he is based in Japan:http://more.arrs.net/runner/3153 The one named by the IAAF, and the one who ran the race in 2:34:28, where he was "busted" -- the 2:19:13 runner:http://more.arrs.net/runner/42001 Either way, since both runners are running about 15 minutes slower in 2017, it looks like doping didn't work -- again.

Good question, I'm not so sure anymore more. It might be the lousy version

Haha, yes. 60 - 80 people get banned in athletics per year, with quite a few of those not being championship material. Championships have a few 1000 athletes.
So if for example no. 10,000 gets caught, then the catching rate is at best:
100% x 80/10000 = 0.8%
Funny stuff.
interesting, Chepngetich looked a big talent in the making... well, maybe not that talented...

Good to see testing is still effective. I sleep well at night knowing that the 100m WR is 9.58 and Almaz Ayana can almost break the w5000m WR in a 10,000m race.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
