I am 17 with times of 18 minute 5k, 5:10 mile, and 11:16 3200m. Could I break 16 for 5k once senior xc season rolls around?

What is your mpw?
Slowly work up to 60 mpw and give it a shot.
Kid on my team broke 16 off of 70mpw during summer base building. Definitely possible if you put in the work, I cut 5 minutes off my 5k time from sophomore year to senior year and finished running 16:48.
Yeah I'm trying to run 15:47 or faster on the track at an open in March as well as running low 16 on December 9th in a flat 5k. Idk what the weather will be like though. I ran 4:56/10:59 for track, could've ran a faster two mile if I hadn't ran that mile right before. I ran an 18:12 5k near the beginning of my base phase for this current racing series that I'll do here soon. I ran 40 mpw around the start and am now running 56 mpw, I just did what would basically be about 3x2 mile T pace at 5:42-3/mile pace. So if I was able to do 19:08 for 5k (I got injured so that would've been 18:50 I think by the end of the season) and am now close to low 16 shape, then you can probably break 16 with a really strong buildup over the winter and summer with relatively good mileage and not going all out during track.
Wow, congrats and good luck! How long did it take you to improve from 19 min to 16min shape? I'm currently running around 40 mpw but I'm looking to increase it to 50mpw by the end of the year.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
