It's Wednesday morning and I race a 5k Sunday morning. Usually I work out through a cold but the recovery can be very slow and it usually prolongs my cold symptoms. I was planning a light workout of some 5k pace work mixed with some tempo effort today but may scrap it. Thoughts? Might replace it with something speed focused like a set of 200s instead.
Last workouts were 5x1000 at vo2 max a week ago and 20 minute tempo + 4x200 on Friday. I ran my normal long run Sunday as well and have been doing mileage (slightly reduced) this week.
