Hello everyone,
Recently, I've been starting to try to include 1-hour long runs over hilly terrain at a easy/moderate pace into my winter training.
However, there's two courses that I can do this run in; one has about 850-900 feet of total elevation gain over the course of an hour (a hair under 7.5 miles) while the other is only 7 miles but has almost 2,000 feet of total elevation gain. I was wondering, which one of these is better for the purposes of my training? Is 2,000 feet over an hour too much? Will it interfere with my running mechanics/best practices? Or is more elevation always better? Thanks for the advice.
