Thank you, President Trump! We couldn't have done it without you.
The same punishment UNC got for systemic cheating for 20+ years.
Nothing.

CBS says this, "It had initially be reported that the players were suspected of stealing sunglasses from a Louis Vuitton store. However, a source told Markazi that there is surveillance video showing them also possibly shoplifting items from two more stores in the same high-end shopping center that houses Louis Vuitton."
I'm not thinking a year ban might be appropriate. One store? Really dumb but maybe one guy talks another freshman into doing something stupid (At Cornell some idiot seniors decided to take a bike from a raffle and made an innocent freshman hold the door) but muiltiple stores? Come on.
http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2017/11/11/ucla-players-several-stores/The LA Times Bill Plaschke is calling for a season-long suspension. "School authorities should say welcome home, and see you next season."

From His article.
"If UCLA officials are looking for precedent here, they don’t have to look far. In the summer of 2010, three of UCLA’s incoming freshman football players were charged with felony theft after being caught stealing a backpack containing items worth about $1,200.
"Paul Richardson, Shaquille Richardson and Josh Shirley were decent kids who did a dumb thing. They were also excellent athletes and top-50-in-the-nation recruits whose loss would eventually cut into the football’s team depth.
"But they never played a down for the Bruins. All three players were quickly suspended for the season by then-coach Rick Neuheisel. They were not allowed to continue summer school or enroll for the fall quarter. A few days later, all three decided to transfer.
"The felony was downgraded to a misdemeanor, and all three eventually found homes at Pac-12 Conference rivals, and all three went on to have careers in professional football, with receiver Paul Richardson currently playing well for the Seattle Seahawks."
But Neuheisel made the right statement about student integrity and accountability. The three had broken rules and, despite their athletic prowess, they needed to be educated on the responsibilities of representing the university.
“I decided I’ve got to teach those kids that playing college football is a privilege, not a right,’’ recalled Neuheisel, now a CBS Sports college football analyst

I might sit them out until the conference schedule starts but, even then, I think they've been punished enough.
Whomever here that has not participated in stupid stuff as a college aged student may cast the first stone - and even then I'd take a flawed collegiate athlete over some holier than thou wannabe any day of the week.
What 'punishment' have they already had? Sitting out preseason is a gift. An no stealing candy or a pint glass from a bar is not the same as hundreds or thousands of dollars of merchandise. Especially for kids not paying a dime towards their tuition.
I wonder whether LiAngelo will play at all in college.
Who cares anyways. If UCLA wasn't in Hollywood no one would pay any attention.
Loss of scholarship, expelled from school, and entire men's basketball team suspended for rest of season.
A little harsh? Why not send a strong message for entire school and bring back old fashioned ideas like responsibility, integrity, and consequences for one's actions.

Well, that would interrupt the system that allows mostly older, white guys to pile up enormous salaries by exploiting the talents of a younger, mostly black unpaid labor force.
The NCAA is a corrupt organization. The education business has less to do with Education than it does supporting and maintaining an over bloated bureaucracy of mediocrity.
MUGA
From LA, these three punks have returned. UCLA has acknowledged that there is a CCTV video that implicates three separate thefts.
No less than kicked off the team, loss of scholarships is deserving.
As a financial supporter to UCLA, anything less than the above will result in loss of my annual support.
Why on earth would you steal something from a foreign country, esp after what happened to that college kid in North Korea. They are lucky they didn't have a more severe punishment in China. Did they really think they wouldn't get caught? There are survelliance cameras everywhere these days. Punishment at the least should be not playing this season.
Send them back to China along with their parents... or we could just send their parents (specifically their dads) to China... perminently.

What did Cam Newton get as punishment when he stole that laptop in college?
Can't win the Heisman in basketball.
In point of fact, Newton did not steal the laptop. He knowingly bought the stolen laptop. He was expelled from the University of Florida and ended up at an obscure JC for his transgression.
Since you asked--
Punishment should be:
1. Expelled from school
2. NCAA eligibility loss
They embarrassed the US, state of California, PAC 12, and UCLA. The POTUS, the alibaba guy and other important people got involved! The collective amount of production and money wasted on these bums could have paid for all the meals in Nigeria for a month. Throw 'em out and teach 'em how the real world works.
They were harassed because of politics between the US and China. China is very mad that the US has not apologized or paid any reparations for murdering millions of Chinese with opium and imperialism. Why they picked on a bunch of college kids is chicken sshhiitt though,

Nothing will happen. A slap on the fingers, than everything like before. They will never learn and Ende shot dead over robbery

Seriously? It was the brown toothed Brits that forced Opium on China, not the US. They had to overcome there massive trade deficit due to their addiction to tea. Get your facts straight.
