When he regards respect as a kind of earned honorific, he mistakes a kind of respect attaching to particular choices and achievements, which is an important but secondary form of respect, with the more basic respect attaching to the intrinsic dignity of the person, to which all are entitled by virtue of their personhood or humanity (which is to say, their rational capacity). The latter form of respect is what is owed to all prior to and independently of all their actions and is the basis for the oughts (the rights) of democracy.
zxcvzxcvxcv,
People are disrespecting these mentally ill people by going along with true delusion.
Even now, kids are being disrespected, used and taken advantage of, and given drug hormone therapy to enhance the mental illness.
Even Canadian law is not allowing punishment if you don’t out right verbally respect Transgenders, beyond basic respect.
Video (only 1:35 mins)
It’s mental illness, it’s not disrespecting them to call it out, like bipolar.
We give them all the basic respect they need, yet they keep committing suicide or they get themselves murderer in drug or sex related killings.
Not a good showing.
