Yes, there are plenty of 11:01 girls that do something in college but you have to sift through 10 that have no ability to impact a sport that continues to be more difficult to score with large conferences. Less competitive schools will obviously pay money because 11:01 girls have a better chance to help at non power 5 conferences.
The reality is that recruiting female distance runners is a major crapshoot. You have to deal with the reality that many sub 10:20 girls don't eat enough and so many are major head cases. You WILL absolutely get more slow hs girls become decent college runners than slow guys but that is still not a great argument for some "dad" to get on here and blast Notre Dame. If Notre Dame can get a ton of 10:20-10:40 girls then why go for an 11:01 girl? If those girls are not developing then that is another story but still not a reason to pick up the random 11:01 girl that is now running well. Quit the whining and just enjoy that she is running well at crap state university!
