Im suprised at the size of the mens pack
This is brutal. I mean the split screen is killing me. This is why the races should start WAY apart.
An American is doing it for the first tim ein 40 years!! My god. We cna't appreciate it though.

Hasay goes and beats Flanagan's PR in Chicago...Shalane goes out and takes it to the field at NYC. Running the last 6 miles on anger?

Pity Hasay wasn't in the race. She would have killed it today!

Get pregnant. Carrie all but said it.
the secret to marathon success...
mismatched arm warmers.
Keitany's stride length looks like it is half of Shalane's.
Shalane with a bit of a smile running up CPS.
Well, I owe her an apology. I said a week ago that the easiest way for Shalene to win a major city marathon was to not go against Keitany. It's still not the easiest way, but I would have never given Shalene any sort of chance to win today.

Commit to the 800 and beating Semenya.
Seven years since her great debut here for 2nd....karma comes to fruition.
She blasted 25th mile in 5:04.
I haven't seen her look back once. Has anyone seen her look back?
I don't think shalane has looked back once since making her move. Strong.

Not sure about that it is something about slow races in New York and Boston where strange stuff happens...strange stuff happens in American marathon races that don’t happen in London berlin or Tokyo.

BTC has some nice looking unis. I think them and Hansons are the only ones to put any thought into their uniforms.
Flanagan still flying!!! About to cry
Must be so satisfying for Shalane to be able to enjoy and take in the atmosphere for the last km rather than have someone breathing down her neck.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
