Looks like low 60's, no sun, and a little bit of mist to keep things cool. Gonna be fast.

Way too early to tell, but temps look to be in the 50s. Mist is not good, however, because it means the humidity will be quite high (ask people who ran in Berlin). Also there's a danger of a significant headwind.
I'm seeing low 40's and 30-40% rain. Not good for the hobby joggers and most of the elites. Some folks do well in those conditions but not very many. Winds will be the biggest factor.

I'll take the temperature but agree that the rain would be bad.
http://findmymarathon.com/weather/new-york-city-marathon-weather.phpI forgot you can't run marathons in the rain. You might melt or something.

yeah but waiting on staten island for hours suuuuuuuuuuuuuuks, and cold/rain that might be good for running make the wait just awful. there's only so much some garbage bags and throwaway clothing can do. Although since i'm only a 3:45 'thonner, I don't get access to all the fancy tents like everyone else here does, of course.

Coming from someone who hasn’t run any marathon, let alone one where you stand ( not sit as Staten Island becomes a quagmire) out in the open for hours before the start freezing with soaking wet shoes, in 25 years.

He hasn’t run a marathon in 35 years!
weather is shaping up perfectly. I will go for a huge PR and claim elite hobby jogger status.
Eh, It's been pretty windy the last few days. It's not really reflected in the weather report. Hoping it's not too bad Sunday.
Looks like the forecast has taken a warmer more humid turn.
Higher temperatures = more moisture = more rain. Global warming DEVASTATES another marathon.

I ran in Berlin. Humidity was not a factor for me nor anyone else I spoke to. It was cool. Main issue was the road surface.
Overnight low of 60 going up to 70s with rain. Not fast conditions or temperatures at all. Totally runnable, but not PB weather.

No 70s.
More like mid-60s.
Dew points in the low 50s.
NYC isn't a PB course in the best of conditions.
Agree. Current forecast is 60 degrees and very humid.
Not terrible, but not great either.
Man, I'm hearing everything from 30s to 70s, but weather.com says mid-50s to low-60s and humid with pretty reasonable wind. Humidity is not a factor at those temps unless you need an excuse like everyone whining about the blistering 65-degree "heat" in Chicago at 10 a.m.
What are perfect conditions? 54.5 degrees with 47% humidity, light cross wind, thin cloud cover, flat dry surface, pacers, a vehicle in front with a giant clock breaking the wind?
