Big Question: who will be gutsy enough to try to pull of a triple at MIAC? What set of three events is most feasible for any given event group?

These questions go hand-in-hand with the DMR question of who will stack it.
There are some runners who could do two miles in a day (9.2 meters is close enough!) and do them both well, but that would make it tough to come back and score in another event on Saturday (either the 1000 or the 3k).
...
DCG, JCG, Madigan, Sandberg, Ketola all could do a decent triple.
...
Easiest triple would be the 800, DMR, 1000.
...
unless we're talking triple jump, then I'd have to go with that one as the easiest triple to pull off.
Is anyone else pretty unimpressed with the 5K overall thus far? Barely under 16:00 gets top ten on the list.. who’s race is it for second place?

Who will triple? Who won't?
Last year, almost every 400-1000 guy I can think of: Hatton, both Fredricksons, both Cook-Gallardos, Withbroe, Krause, Pugh, Supinski, Mueller, Klamm, Madigan (since we're talking about him apparently) as well as milers: Edstrom, Bjork, Eggers, Coffey, Bugler all ran triples. If you don't count relays, none of them ran triples. The only people who won't triple are ones whose teams don't stack either relay.
And to a certain Gustie, if you run fast enough, other people will mention you instead of you always having to do it yourself.
Eggers (1000m, 800m), Bjork (1000m, 800m), and Bugler (DMR, 3000m) did not triple last year.
Tripling is near impossible if all your races are above 1k.
You sweet summer child. You do not know the wrath of the 5-hour high school conference triple? Huddled at the back of the bus or in bathroom stalls, we spoke in hushed tones of the legendary 2009 Conference Championship event, the "M.O.A.B. Triple" aka "Triple-D Cup" aka "The Bad Time". We had many names for it. Perhaps this is because it sat there among us in the lockerroom, silent, unable or unwilling to name itself, like a socially challenged freshman. But it was always there. We had to call it something. Whether one of the names is better than the other I don't know, it never told us. But every conference meet, we could feel it on the bus, and each of us prayed it did not stash away in our bag, that it did not run our races with us. We all silently hoped it would pick someone else, someone unimportant, maybe even someone on a different team. But we've known, since 2009, that it could happen to the best of us at the worst time. It strikes when and where it chooses, and no one can avoid it if Hades calls their name.
The race distances aren't important but the results are. Here's how you pull it off:
Race 1: DFL
Race 2: DNF
Race 3: DNS
If someone can do it, they can live in infamy for years. Probably 2. Or until they graduate idk.
The triple is very difficult, yes. But it isn't an unsurmountable task. I think what prevents most runners capable of doing it from actually attempting it is trying to save legs for nationals, or their team is stacked enough that they don't have to do it. I think we can all agree that there has been enough MIAC talent in the past who could have pulled it off or at least come close.
Can anyone confirm whether or not our favorite camera man was at The Showcase? That way I can stop getting my hopes up for race videos that may never come...
I believe if you DNF a race at MIAC you are not allowed to compete in any other races. Does this mean that any other races you would have competed in are DNS? If so, Evan Jones completed 2 of the 3 legs last year at MIAC. And Henschel and Lonergan were DQed (I can’t remember if either of them were doubling). Does that count?
Who cares about any of this.? Donson will triple the mile, 8, and 1k and win them all.

Yeah I don't see why not.
DFL-DQ-DNF is almost worse. Like you tried 3 times.
Good stuff today at St Olaf. 1000m race was probably faster than the one at the actual conference meet will be.
During this MIAC conference meet everyone should watch out who is the nastiest. The nastiest doesn't need to be the best runner (it could be). It could be the way a person races, or based on their hair. The definition of the word nasty is up to you. It's very opinionated! Let's see who wins the NASTIEST runner in the MIAC award!
Haha. I like it. I'll keep an eye out.

"Haha I want to nominate [myself or faster teammate]. What's that? No I certainly do not go to [my school]! I just think [myself or faster teammate] is nasty lol y'all trippin ;p"
Mueller’s 1k was so dirty. I had no idea he had those wheels. He’s going to be fun to watch in the upcoming years.
Imagine if he had someone there to push him too. Bet he could run a 2:28 or 2:27
Let's not forget Andy "Breadstick" Rudberg's world record 2:06 1K, as displayed by the result sheets in Tostrud. That's pretty nasty
What do people think?
DCG: Mile/800/1000/3000
Mueller: Mile/1000/3000
Assuming they only run the 3 if the team score is close???
Sure hope Jerry doesn’t run his legs off and end up sucking at Nats. Also hope that he doesn’t need to run at a last chance meet to lock in a spot.
Dear Dave: don’t spend it all at the Indoor Miac meet. No one wants St Thomas to win another title, but we don’t want to do it at the expense of looking like scrubs at nats.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
I think Letesenbet Gidey might be trying to break 14 this Saturday
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
