My boy Tris Dodge is quietly putting together an amazing season. His blazing 10k has him 18th in the nation. Where's the hype?

Multiple people have predicted him to be a conference champ and qualify for natties. Read this thread before posting
Tris is finally running to his ability and making use of his talent. Been waiting for this for years.
okay Tris, we get it.
Tasty 5k race at MAC tomorrow, who y’all got?
Entries? Who’s running?
Liban Jama ftw
Anyone else think some of these seed times are outrageous? There are 16 (MIAC) guys listed as 15:30 or faster when only five guys in the conference have run that fast this season. I get wanting to get into the fast heat but you also have to be realistic...
They didn't all race to their potential in their first 5k this season. Many ran it as a preparation for this second one. Most often if you get to choose your seed time you do your PR.
>10 of them go under 15:30 don't @ me.
Who's going to film the 5k if Spielberg is in the race?!
Joe Coffey looked pretty damn good in that 5k. 15-20 mph winds and ran a 14:36 solo...

To be fair, it wasn't exactly solo for the first like 3k of the race, he just sat on Mueller and Dodge. But honestly, these Carleton guys are looking more and more burnt out every meet. Anyone know where Donson/Wilkinson were?
Oh... you gotta throw the 15 mph winds in there. So important to state! Grow up.... I bet Joe didn't go into the race thinking about the wind. That's why he shat on you young guys. Also way to go PT on running your seed time of 15:12! It's not 2017 anymore.
Donson is running at drake. Agree that the freshmen are looking a lil tired . Not sure why any of the then were racing 6 days after the 10k. Just wait a week and run at the Rolex.

Joe had to show up to remind the MIAC the difference between an All-MIAC athlete and an All-American. The difference is pretty big. Don’t forget that people.
Looking at Drake results and saw Evan Hatton went 1:52.67 for 7th in the unseeded section. Conference 800m is gonna be sick again this year.
Man, it's hard to see Paul Timm's career end like this. The guy looked so solid last year and seemed to be the obvious choice to win the 10K this season. His move was so ballsy at conference. Obviously people have up and down seasons, but it's been a bummer watching other guys surpass him.
On the other side of things, Tris' season has been pretty incredible. Cool to see him tap into all that talent and throw together an awesome season. Here's to hoping that the Carls can stave off the burn out long enough to do some big things before the season ends.
That being said, if the Carls do burn out, who are the favorites to take the distance events? Wachter and Ketola are looking stronger and stronger.
DCG (1:50.8), Hatton (1:52.7), and Krogman (1:53.2) have clearly separated themselves from the rest of the pack.
1500 will be legendary if DCG doesn't run it.
Ebner is struggling. He could pull a rabbit out of his hat like last year, but just ran a 4:19 1500m.
Wilkinson has got to be the steeple favorite. Beat O'Hare on his home turf.
Stumbo could compete for the WIN in the 5k or 10k if he wants it bad enough.
Some Carleton and St Olaf guys race too much.
Carleton 4x400 is going to force a stacked Bethel team.
A white guy from Saint John's just ran a 10.61 100m.
Wachter, Ketola, Lonergan, Gustafson, and Stumbo are all genuine challenges for the now-mortal Knights.
We're living in the Golden Era for guys named Carl/Karl in the MIAC. There's scores of them. Is it any wonder the magic rubbed off onto CARLeton?
A good time to start studying for finals is NOW. Really plan ahead. Good luck everyone.
I think the MIAC needs to do away with the ability to convert a time into the conference 10k... The performance list clearly shows enough guys will run the 10k during season to qualify. Other conferences don't do this and still have competitive 10k races.
Same goes for indoor 5k
