So I injured myself at the end of July and was riding my bike during most of that time off. I started running again at the end of September. My first run was about 20mins long and I've been about 3 to 5 mins on every run since then. Now it's late October and successfully got a 70 min run in and only felt fatigued and normal running aches. Before i got injured i was averaging 60 to 65mpw and just as i was increasing speed i got hit with an overuse injury one i wasn't gonna be able to run through.
So am i returning to running properly? At this point I'm running about 4 to 5 days a week now and put in my highest last week since injury.
Also, how long should i expect it to take to return to my previous fitness or a general rule of thumb? Thanks!
