Out state qualifying meet is in 6-7 days. I've gained about a 3000 cal surplus in the past week or so. Is there a way I can drop a pound in the next 5-6 days without hurting my recovery before one of the most important races of the season?
I was thinking I could try to create a big deficit on my rest day and maybe do some supplementary elliptical training to burn cals? Would this hurt my race performance as long as I drop the weight a day before my race?
I'm thinking if I drop the weight in 4/5 days I can replenish glycogen and maintain the dropped weight and eat enough to be good for the race. Thoughts?
