Therefore, I think the answer is FIU.
have to add Rutgers to that list
Regarding cross, it is not great to be a Florida Gator. We’ll get ‘em at indoor and outdoor tack.
I don't know if UMass Amherst fits what you're looking for but I am always surprised at how bad they are, especially for cross country. I know that there are many other great schools in the area that can draw talent but Massachusetts and surrounding states produce many good runners and UMass is a good, popular school.
Very disappointing running though.
Had a high school teammate that went to UMass and never quite hit his potential. From his take, “it was because of OB.” From what I can gather on social media, it was more than likely the amount of time he spent party scene. A lot of his posts were him and his teammates drinking. I think that kills a lot of kids there.
Ohio State by far! They can't get top Ohio talent because everyone knows that's where running careers go to die...

Boston College men's is a joke.
University of Maryland has always been disappointing. They seem to get some decent talent and nothing comes from it.
I can’t believe Ohio State men are unranked in the GL region. That has to be a new low.
When is the last time Ohio State was relevant in XC?
Stanford and it's not even close number 1 recruiting classes every year every year hardly ever sniff the top 10 come NCAA's in Cross or Track for that matter. Stanford is where great runners go to get slower/injured.

Tell that to Grant Fisher, Chris Derrick, Sean McGorty(yes he got injured, but he had a great collegiate career) and many others.

No...they’ve been top 3 in XC for three or four years in a row.
boston college definitely takes the cake as a team. they didn't score one point at their conference track meets for indoor and outdoors last year...

Also, I wouldn't really call Stanford a "big school." They have, what, 7,000 undergrads compared to ~45K for the other schools being discussed.

+1 for the home state
Always depressing considering how big the school is
