If these results are true... Damn, Olinger, Damn. Go get yourself a stogie, and an Ohio State Jersey so you can go for a national champtionship. Play on Playa.
man, what an opener for fam. heard he just got down from altitude, thought his legs would be flat. what a great solo race. are those the official results? a friend of mine clocked him at high 8:18. either way, if he keeps this up, i hate to see how fast he is at the us championships.
FAM! Thats awesome, I think he might be one of the best performers in the distance events at WC's this year. Maybe 8:10 late this year?

Boaz ... in the steeple? Wow. Did he go over or under the barriers? I kid, of course. I had no idea he had any interest in the steeple.
Pretty sure he was running some steeples before he got to EMU.
Nope. I talked to him. He said it was his first one.

It was his older brother that was the steeplechaser. His older brother ran professionally with the Kim McDonald group and the two were mistaken for each other, misleading people to believe Boaz had run professionally prior to coming to Eastern.
Talked w/BC on Saturday. I don\'t know why he\'d tell somebody it was his first steeple because he told me he\'d run 8:38 before attending EMU. Earlier this winter he did some steeple drills ... then stopped doing them. He came into the meet Friday lacking hurdle drills and lacking confidence at the water jump, which would explain why he landed w/2 feet every time.
Said he felt pretty good thru 5 laps before things went south. With more steeple specific training ... things ought to get faster altho whether he\'ll make any money in it this summer is an unknown. He\'s currently a permanent sub in the same middle school my brother, my son & I attended!
