Hello all. I'm hoping that at least a few people out there can report that they had a successful hernia repair sometime over a year in the past, and have got back close to the level of activity that they had before the hernia.
I've roamed the internet and there is plenty out there about problems but it's difficult to find anyone who says that they've had a good overall repair, let alone with details of what was done.
Just trying to find some examples to give some direction and hope to people that are in the process of choosing a surgeon to repair their hernia.
Any stories appreciated, even the bad ones, although success stories are the real goal.
I'm talking about real hernias, with abdominal contents squeezing in to areas they shouldn't be, not "sports" hernias.
Thanks.
