FAKE NEWS!
How did he mock that soldier?
I get that Trump is low on the empathy quotient, but "insulting and un-American" is a pretty big stretch.
While Obama said Americans are all stupid and lazy, as he gave hundreds of billions to Iran. You'd certainly be making excuses for him if he said what Trump said. Do you leftists have any standards at all?

Actually, I don't think that "insulting and un-American" goes far enough. It absolutely is insulting and un-American for an American President not to have the good sense about what to say to the wife of a soldier killed in the line of duty. This woman has two young children and is pregnant with a third. When a President calls someone like that, there are only two reasons to ever do it...give amazing gratitude for his service and try to offer some sort of comfort if at all possible. That comment does neither, and in fact what it does is it puts part of the blame for the situation she is now in on a choice he made. That is completely asinine! I have never seen anyone ever who is just so wrong about absolutely everything he does as this fool is.
He should not be encouraged to call families of fallen soldiers.
I don't care for Trump at all but this story falls way below all of the other rotten things he does every day I can't believe it's a headline.
I know the story is a reaction to him saying that he calls all of the families of the fallen soldiers where past presidents like Obama didn't.
Over 400 soldiers died in Obama's first term because of the ongoing wars he inherited.
There have been about 25 soldier deaths this year for Trump to deal with because Obama handed off a more peaceful time to go with a thriving economy.
I already know the straw the breaks the camels back that finally gets Trump out of office is going to be infuriating compared to everything else that has already happened.
Whereas a President Clinton would have blamed their deaths on some infowars or breitbart video, and then told the victims' families, "no big deal; just get over it!"
The American public does not expect First Responders to die and take every death very hard. Even though we know of the risk involved fallen First Responders always get alot of press, sympathy from our leaders, funeral procession with thousands of First Responder witnesses, and more. The American public knows United States Marines are supposed to fight and die and less attention is traditionally given but Americans are heartbroken nonetheless.

Bingo.
This is a fake news story. Some will buy into it. But they are dumb pawns in the game.
Hey you guys. Those four men were Green Berets. The world's finest war fighters.

No doubt Trump was trying to do exactly that.
Which do you really think is more likely: Trump was making a point about the bravery of the soldier in signing up for such a risky job, or that Trump really just wanted to blame the soldier for his own death?
Can't wait for the transcript to be 'leaked'.

Wow. I cannot believe you are admitting that this is a fake news story. Gotta throw some respect your way for letting the Lefty folks know the media's MO.
Sometimes it amazes me how transparent the MSM is in their battle with him. It's like, maybe wait a while before responding to his attack on Obama before putting out some BS story a couple days after. Let people forget about his initial accusation, you know? These media companies are run by morons. No one's buying their garbage anymore (except for a handful of idiots on here, apparently).
I would like to hear the entire conversation. But I also do not doubt that he would say something insensitive. Trump seems to lack any sort of empathy.
It is important to note that in the story above the mom says she could not recall the entire conversation.
As someone who has been interviewed many times in my life, I know that things can be taken out of context. What if Trump said "He is a brave man because he knew what he was signing up for and still went"?
But with Trump's history he is not going to be given any benefit of the doubt.
What gets me even more is his claim that neither Obama or Bush contacted families of fallen soldiers. He might want to read (wait, he does not read anything except Twitter) Dana Perino's book and the part about the mom of the soldier in Walter Reed who lit into Bush and Bush's reaction.

LOL!!! ^This. Second post of the thread accurately predicted the talking points / responses from the LRC idiot Trump supporters.
We have an egotistical 12 year old running the country. He's trying to do the job, but being 12 has its limits.
Ronald Reagan (ex-Hollywood poolside hunk catering ? services to FAT old Weinstein types) was the worst President since Nixon. That is until Trump came along.

Apparently not if they died.
Did he say sorry I like people who weren't captured? Senator John McCain is the last Repub candidate who holds the true values this nation strives for. I'd love to see him run in 2020.

Of course, the typical “But Hillary†response.
The Donald is a sociopath. We all know this. These comments aren’t shocking, coming from him. Pretty much everything he does is inappropriate and a bad example.
I guess this is news considering his recent lie about previous presidents not calling families of the fallen soldiers (But Obama!). Why he would choose to use the issue of dead soldiers to prove his superiority only adds to his sociopathy and self absorption.
We’re all just toys in their power game, people. They could care less about what happens to soldiers or any of us.
