Wondering if I could get some help on how best to incorporate hill training into my running schedule and phases.
My last race was half marathon about 4 weeks ago and have just been doing some easy 5 mile runs with a 8-10 mile weekend run since then.
Can you advise where best to include hill running in training phases? I see there are the following main types of workouts. Are they all worthwhile including and when to include throughout the season?
1) Power/sprint - 10 second sprints. long long recovery
2) Short repeats - 20-60 seconds
3) Medium hills - 60-120 seconds
4) Continuous hills- sets of 3 to 10 minutes
I plan to start back doing some 5 and 10k races and then maybe half marathon/marathon in late 2018
