Forefoot runner?
I don't know about the Boston 6, but the Elite 9's are pretty minimal and feel more like flats. I like the pureflow 6 here.

Forefoot striker. Like the PureFlows, at least the older versions. Tried Zoomfly and ITB flare knocked me out for 2 mos.

Are you my doppleganger? i'm also 5'9, 140lbs, 50 mpw, and running in PureFlow4.
The Boston's have the boost in the rear, whereas the Zoom Elite has the air in the forefoot. So keep that in mind, depending on what you like. I don't have the recent Pureflows, but I put quite a few miles on the first version, and I very much like the Zoom Elite 9s. To me, they are actually a little soft feeling. 50 MPW might do a number on them though. The blown rubber lugs do well on the track but might get chewed up on harder surfaces, relative to the rubber addias uses or the harder rubber Nike uses on the Pegasus.
For what it's worth, I like the Takumi Sen for road racing and track intervals.
I have the pureflow6 and the boston6.
I love the feel of the pureflow6 for longer training runs. It's got a low drop feel yet very cushy. The problem is there are all these deep grooves and wide holes in the sole and it's very easy for gravel or small rocks to get caught in there. If you run on any sort of trail, after about a minute you are hearing all this click, click, click. I have to tie them a bit tight to keep the heel/mid area snug but I like the roominess in the toes. These feel a bit clunky for me doing any speed work. I use them for long runs/easy runs.
The boston6 is what I've been doing faster stuff including track workouts, tempos, and races in. A higher heel toe drop and I felt a little more pressure on the quads when I first used them but it's adjusted. I have fairly narrow feet and yet they are still snug. I've heard others say it's too narrow.
I think you should try the Altra Escalante.
I can only speak to the elite 9s, but the drop is too severe for me. The air unit in the forefoot seems to sit behind the ball of my foot and bulges noticeably. The laces slip too easily and end up tightening in places I don't want.
Thanks to all for replies. Will try the PF6, which was my initial inclination.
